About Us

The idea for FindSpace came about while I was visiting Hastings in New Zealand a few years ago.

At the time our Payroll Bureau was outgrowing the offices we had and we needed to move.  Easy! I thought, all I had to do was search one or two websites and I would be able to find all available office space within the area I wanted to move to…..yeah right!

I looked at many websites and quickly got frustrated as none could show me ‘everything’ that was available.  Most real estate agencies only showed what they had on their books, and no where could I find any private listings, so in the end I resolved the problem by getting on my bike and cycling around the area I wanted to be in and writing down various phone numbers.  Eventually we found a new place to base ourselves.

So a number of years later, when we had again outgrown our office, I was surprised to find that nothing really had changed, hence why I decided to do something about it and FindSpace is the outcome.

What I wanted is one site that showed both agency and private listings, that had a powerful search engine and was solely focused on business related property.

FindSpace will prove itself over time and hopefully the next time we have to move office the search process won’t involve me getting on my bike, again.
